Google Adwords Workshop

Just had a very interesting workshop by Mr. Hanson Toh. He is the Country Manager for Singapore/Malaysia. Introducing Google Apps. Introducing Google Applications like Documents, Gmail, Sites, Calendar..etc. This is very helpful for those people that want to start their own business / entrepreneurs. I truly support Google's work to make the internet a better working environment especially for those who isn't really with computer knowledge.

Apart from Google Apps, I got extra new lessons on Google Adwords. This really helps me to save money on sponsoring links and maximize the campaign advertisements.

Above it all, at the end of the workshop... Google gave us a FREE RM100.00 cash voucher. So that you can start up your advertisement campaign. Great workshop organized by MIRC.

Yahoo! Search Engine Marketing

I'm sure I'm kinda outdated by now with the news of yahoo!'s new and latest panama engine for search engine marketing. But then, if you realise it. There is a need to just boost it again after the hoo-haa of what we have been waiting for; for the new engine now that its here.

When it started to launch, I was as curious as a bee on what kind of magic it can perform, what surprises it can explode our minds compared to the ever popular and its hit rival Google Adwords.

Not very friendly at first. Very sorry to say this. Maybe the fact that its not filled with the data that some countries needed for estimation and statistics. I was not particular happy in the 1st few months since I can't get estimation on how much the keywords cost and how much I should actually budget for my daily and monthly expenses.

But what impresses me most is that Yahoo! helps me thru these tough times and I really would like to say 'Thank you!'. After just a few weeks after my set back on getting estimations and cost per click; In a very short period, I am able to get the estimations I need and I can say that its just as competitive with Google Adwords, if not better!

Not forgetting, Yahoo! Webinar have been really helpful to gray out those small details for every semarketers everywhere. Hope to see more from Yahoo!

I should too

Most companies use to just wanting to have a website for one purpose. If my competitors have a website, I should too. Its the trend nowadays to have a website. I should too. Most people and other companies are having a website, I should too.

How is the trend now that not only because other people has a website that I should to, but also the fact that its actually is one of the top cost saving - advertisements!! Imagine, you just need to maybe spend a slightly larger amount the first time - to get your website nicely designed. But after that, just spend a low cost fee annually. Its like a sales kit that you don't need to carry around with you always! Just have a website address. With internet connection accessible almost everywhere, just type the address in and pooh! Show your customers your products and services.

Search Engine Organic

One thing I've learned after reading so many books, online articles and listening to evangelists' advice about seo is that having websites linking back to your website, really really works!

Don't just rely on Google, Yahoo and MSN url submission. Getting your website linked to manual directory, auto directory, and your friend's website linking back to you really helps.

Even though most people says that meta tags are dead and its useless in organic search, I still believe there is some good use and may not help alot, it still helps!
